An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Finistre, France

On Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 9:33 PM, a witness very quickly observed 4 pale white lights in the sky. The phenomenon moved slowly and silently in a straight-line trajectory before disappearing into a cloud. No other testimony was collected. The observation of glowing balls crossing the sky in a few minutes, on a weekend night, clearly suggests Thai lanterns, probably released nearby at the end of a private party. The movement was observed from West to North, which is consistent with the South wind recorded at Quimper (see the Météociel data). The observation is very brief, and the available information is imprecise; this case is not very solid. The GEIPAN classifies this case as "B": probable observation of Thai lanterns.
