On Monday, January 12, 2015 at 7 a.m., a witness is intrigued by a diffuse light he sees through a glass door of his home. Going out onto his terrace, he finds himself a few meters from a UAP coming silently in his direction. A non-dazzling white light is placed at the front of it. The UAP moves at slow speed between the closely spaced mobile homes. The witness goes around his dwelling and finds himself facing the right side of the UAP, on which a yellow and red "logo" is visible. The witness "loses track of time" while the UAP continues its trajectory toward the NNE, tilts, then gains speed and altitude before disappearing above the trees. The witness then notes the oval shape of the UAP. No other testimony will be collected. The observation is strange because it involves a phenomenon with a rather unusual appearance at a very early hour of the night and in a very isolated place (see the investigation report). Its characteristics in terms of speed, size, and shape do not present any "out of the ordinary" aspects; from that point of view, it could be an inflatable advertising balloon. But the trajectory, at the very least lucky because it grazes obstacles, is astonishing. It would have had to escape its owner, and above all, what would it be doing there, far from any advertising purpose? It is not possible to validate such a hypothesis. The consistency of the testimony is good, although it comes from only one witness. This uniqueness of the testimony and the absence of photos place the level of consistency at the bare minimum to validate the strange and unexplained character of the observation. The case was submitted to the GEIPAN college of experts. GEIPAN classifies this case as D1: unexplained phenomenon of medium strangeness.
