An account in Val-d'Oise, France

The witness sees two flashing red and white lights, coming toward her, in the night. The object turns to the right, and while the witness goes to get a camera, it disappears. The witness's description of an aircraft with flashing red and white lights of course brings to mind an airplane. These very powerful flashing lights are blinding enough to make the green and red position lights (fixed, fairly weak) and the fuselage of the aircraft imperceptible. On landing, the cabin is dimly lit. Noted on the Flightradar data is that Flight TK1829 / Turkish Airlines Airbus A321 on approach to Roissy made a loop a bit north of Deuil-la-Barre (95), probably to wait its turn to land at Roissy. GEIPAN classifies this case "A": observation of an airplane in a holding loop on landing.
