An account in Lot-et-Garonne, France

A witness reports, on June 19, 1976, his three observations of luminous phenomena between April 1976 and June 1976. On April 7, 1976, around 11:30 PM, he notices a luminous object in the sky in the shape of a cigar: it lands on the path leading to the witness's home and produces a strong light directed in a single direction. During the month of May 1976, around the same time and practically at the same place, he notices two very luminous craft, one of which seems to be landed on the path near the home. Immediately waking his brother and his parents, these people observe these luminous phenomena for about 1 hour 30 minutes without being able to determine a precise shape. No noise is heard. Everything disappears suddenly. One of the witnesses will later find, at the presumed landing spot, traces on the road's asphalt. On Friday, June 16, still at the same time, the witness notices a strong brightness on a piece of land near his dwelling. Following all these observations, he decides to give testimony. During the gendarmerie investigation, no findings could be made concerning the first two observations due to the witness's late report. For the third observation, the landowner will state that he had lit, that evening, a wood fire in his field to make grilled food.
