Pilot witness in Moselle, France
The witness, pilot of a CESSNA150, flying southwest of Metz, (flight from Colmar to Liège), observes a small object of ovoid shape and yellow color moving at high speed to the northwest, at the same altitude, from north to south. The duration of the observation is not specified.
Since the distance of an unknown object cannot be estimated, the altitude estimated by the observer is uncertain: it could be a very bright and very distant object, at higher altitude: in that case it would be an atmospheric reentry of a meteoroid (meteorite) or of space debris. The catalogs of space debris reentries (Space-Track) do not mention any reentry on that day.
