An account in Cte-d'Or, France

On September 10, 2012 at around 8:20 PM, two witnesses observed the slow passage at very high altitude of an orange luminous phenomenon with a long tail. The trajectory was straight. It disappeared heading south, hidden by a cloud. Only one witness briefly reported their observation. This case of a distant, not very strange observation is very poorly documented and imprecise; the description suggests an airplane contrail visible through low clouds. The orange color is common for contrails located toward the west at sunset (at 8:13 PM that day at that location). Nevertheless, GEIPAN does not have enough concrete elements to support this hypothesis. This case is classified as "C" due to lack of information.
