An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Tarn, France

On Sunday, September 20, 2015, around 8:00–8:15 PM, a witness on their terrace watches, in a clear sky, a "vertical fall" of an object, at high speed, which disappears into the landscape. The witness thinks of the "fall of a supersonic airplane." A few seconds later, the witness again sees an object, climbing back at full speed toward the zenith. Part of the object seems to detach and come back down "horizontally." The witness thinks it is the same single object for both observations. No noise is heard during the observation of these orange or gray phenomena. Given the elements collected (see the investigation report), namely: - Absence of precise angular data. - Absence of azimuthal data for the appearance and disappearance of the UAPs for each phase of the observation. - Incomplete information regarding the presence of contrails. - Observation durations for each phase unknown. - Lack of precision on the nature and amplitude of the movements reported by the witness as being at an "obtuse angle." And although the only plausible hypothesis retained is that of confusion with airplane contrails observed at sunset, we can conclude that the lack of information does not allow a definitive conclusion in favor of this hypothesis. The GEIPAN classifies this case as "C" as an observation of a phenomenon not identifiable as it stands, the lack of elements not allowing a solid opinion to be established.
