An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Var, France

On April 5, 2011 at 5:21 a.m., a motorist's attention was drawn by a light arriving in the open sky. He describes a very bright bluish ball crossing the sky very quickly in a straight trajectory. The phenomenon then changes color to orange and seems to stop before disappearing. The front passenger made the same observation. Only one testimony was collected. This case of observation, of low strangeness and low to medium consistency, seems to us to have all the characteristics of an atmospheric reentry of a meteoroid. A classification A is however excluded in the absence of independent sources. This case is classified B as probable bolide: atmospheric reentry of a meteoroid.
