An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Indre, France

On March 6, 2011 at around 10:15 PM, two witnesses observed in the sky the straight-line passage of several luminous objects of a red-orange color appearing at intervals. No noise was heard during the observation, which was filmed. Photographs were also taken. The description of the phenomenon suggests a passage of Thai lanterns. The films transmitted by the witness show the passage of a red-orange object very similar to other films reported to GEIPAN and formally showing a passage of Chinese lanterns. This possibility was moreover not ruled out by the witness himself (letter of March 25, 2011), and after examination of all the elements, the hypothesis retained by GEIPAN is that of a probable observation of a passage of Thai lanterns.
