In the night from Saturday 5 to Sunday 6 June 2010, several witnesses were intrigued by the rapid passage of a white light. The trajectory was low and from East to South. The observation lasted between 5 and 10 seconds. A large satellite could have produced this appearance (apart from the visible shape, which may be a kind of optical illusion). Some satellites are on slightly retrograde orbits (inclination around 100°) that could follow an East-to-South trajectory. When GEIPAN conducted this investigation (in 2012), simulations were no longer possible for a date in 2010. It is not possible for us to firmly conclude this observation case, of relatively low strangeness (a luminous point moving in a straight line) and good consistency (precise testimony). This case is classified C due to the lack of independent testimonies and cross-checks.
