On August 23, 2009 between 6:15 PM and 6:30 PM, people observed very high in the sky the movement of four points of light. These formed geometric shapes that intrigued the observers. Only one witness contacted GEIPAN. This testimony is in fact not very strange, and the description is too brief for a serious study. It could simply be four balloons filled with helium, reflecting the sun. The geometric shapes would only be the result of movements according to the wind. GEIPAN, however, has no concrete evidence to support this hypothesis. This case unfortunately was only processed in 2012, too late to search for launches of scientific or amateur balloons.
