An account in Dr�me, France

On July 8, 2008 at 9:25 PM, from the summit of Mount Bergiès, witnesses are intrigued by a bright point of high magnitude that appears and disappears several times in the sky. The witnesses locate it using the finder scope of an astronomical telescope. Each in turn they look into this finder scope and describe an ovoid object of a steel-gray color, moving slowly (with a pendular motion for one of the two witnesses). The object moves southward before disappearing. This case is of high strangeness due to the shape of the object observed through the 9x50 finder scope of an astronomical telescope. It is also of good consistency, the witnesses being qualified and experienced in intensive observation both day and night. The investigator sent to the site by GEIPAN found nothing abnormal and confirms the testimony and good faith of Mr. A (Mr. B not being present during his visit one month after the observation). This case is classified D1, unexplained observation, moderately strange, of good consistency.
