On October 4, 2005, GEIPAN was alerted by a police officer from Blagnac airport who saw a curious phenomenon moving at the end of a runway. The witness describes an object shaped like a boomerang and thinks it is a remote-controlled object, but it disappears at high speed, which surprises the witness. No other testimony was collected on this phenomenon. Reading the report leaves an impression of great credibility: the observation is carefully described in precise and objective terms; the witness's professionalism is recognizable. The reported facts present a medium degree of strangeness: although this craft a priori had no business being around here, its performance remains compatible with that of a remote-controlled craft (admittedly a high-performance one). The pendular movement observed at the start of the observation could have been facing the wind, while the rapid movement was in the direction of the wind. The description brings to mind certain drone models, very uncommon at that time. Nevertheless, since the testimony is old, it is not possible to verify this hypothesis. A "C" classification is assigned to this case, with the "drone" hypothesis insufficiently consolidated.
