Recent testimony (18/10/2013) of an old observation. In April 1998 (the witness does not remember the exact day; the day's date is arbitrary) around 2 p.m., a witness in front of her vacation home is surprised by a persistent shadow above her. Looking up, she observes just above the house a round, black craft moving slowly and silently. The craft stabilizes in front of the witness at 3 or 4 meters from the ground, and the witness sees in a cockpit two men "fairly young, one behind the other, plain white helmets without visors." The craft leaves again over the trees heading West. No other testimony has been collected. This testimony of a close encounter, therefore strange, was only reported to GEIPAN more than 15 years after the facts, which introduces a notable risk of false memories, at least partial; moreover, the precise date of the observation is unknown, preventing any comparison with other similar cases.
