On December 25, 1993, at around 00:30, a witness driving on the highway observed two circular shapes, an estimated diameter of about 1 meter, flame-red in color, above a canal at an altitude of about 4 to 6 meters. The objects then separated, one left at high speed, but the second continued to move at reduced speed and the witness was able to follow it on the highway where he was driving at about 140 km/h.
