A beam of light in Landes, France
A witness reports that in the month of July in the years 1970 to 1973 (his memories as to the date of observation are imprecise, so we date it as 01/07/1970) around 9 p.m. he was able to see arriving at an altitude of 300 or 400 meters a craft in the shape of a saucer, white or aluminum in color. It measured between 6 and 8 meters in diameter; it advanced very slowly in a broken line from right to left. A beam of light came from two powerful spotlights placed at the front. Calling members of his family, they were able to see the craft disappear at very high speed, without noise and in an upward movement at 45 degrees. A second craft then appeared: in the shape of a white or aluminum cigar about thirty meters long and arriving without noise, it was at the same altitude as the first. About thirty portholes allowed seeing a soft and dimmed light inside. It moved in a straight line very slowly and disappeared hidden by the treetops. The two craft came from the N-NW and went toward the S-SE. The witness mentions a press article about lights that appeared on the evening in question at Bordeaux airport. This very old testimony gives surprising details; nevertheless we lack information and it is too old to be able to investigate.
