An account in Is�re, France

On November 21, 1981 at around 8 p.m., two people saw in the woods facing their home a peculiar luminous phenomenon that intrigued them. It was rectangular in shape, reddish-orange in color, and remained motionless. During the observation, which lasted nearly an hour, the witnesses saw a green halo gradually surround the rectangle, then two very powerful spotlights emitting a yellow light. The object rose slowly into the air at a 45-degree angle before disappearing into the sky. No noise was heard during the observation. The next day, one of the witnesses went to the site but found no trace. Since the gendarmes were notified 25 days later, no trace on the ground or in the environment could be collected, and no other witness to this phenomenon came forward to provide additional information.
