Knocking

I remember this quite well. I wake up and walk to the kitchen to get some water, I remember on the way that my Mom, sister, best friend and maybe my Dad are visiting my apartment. I reach the kitchen and notice the door which usually is locked is open. In real life this door contains the water heater and AC units. I look behind the door and notice instead of the AC units I see another beautiful apartment. As I walk in I notice its wood-floored spacious and beautiful. At first I thought this was part of our apartment as I notice a table with chairs around it where my mom and sister were eating dinner last night. I then notice people sitting on the couch watching TV and realize this is someone else's apartment that the door leads to. I quickly walk back to my apartment and once back I encounter an old friend from a couple years ago. I ask him what he is doing here and he tells me he lives in the apartment next door. I notice his sister is sitting on my couch watching TV. I seem to remember that this dream was actually a continuation of an earlier one where my mom and sister had left my apartment and I was taking a nap. I remember them saying they were going out, but I cannot remember much of the earlier dream. My best friend also went with them and I remember seeing his laptop in my old room mates empty room. Anyways, I talk to my other friend for a while and grab a zip-loc bag filled with snacks(Some type of sweet chips) then I think I hear a knocking with my Dad's voice. I reach the door, saying "hold on, hold on." When I open it, there is no one there but the apartment across the hall is closing their door, so I guess it was someone knocking on there side. I notice it is snowing outside so I decide to go for a walk. This part gets weird. I 'm walking and its snow everywhere, I am reminded of the song, Winter Wonderland. As I walk I notice people sitting on their balconies? The layout of the apartments is all different and the balconies are facing me and do not have rails on them. I pass 2 groups of people, the first are playing spin the bottle on their balcony. The second are playing some strange game with an animal. At first it looks like a polar bear, and I am concerned about how they got a polar bear. As I get closer though I realize its some type of large bird, like a duck. They are rolling a dice then telling the bird to move that many spaces on a sheet of ice. As I pass by eating my snack, the bird tries to follow me. One of the guys stops it and blocks it from moving with his foot. I think the dream ends here.
