Armstrong County Pennsylvania · from the ANOMALY archive
My Dad has sworn up and down he has seen Bigfoot twice since I was a kid. Both times were in the outskirts of the Pittsburgh area, specifically Armstrong County. I never asked him to describe his accounts accurately until a few days ago on my birthday. What he said is fascinating. The first time, he and a childhood friend were bass fishing on his boat, something he takes very seriously having been a professional angler. On Crooked Creek Lake they took the boat WAY up the creek portion, not many people go far up it due to generally low water levels that are tough to navigate. Not paying too much attention to their surroundings, they both look up to see a dark brown hairy figure walking through the woods and watched it for nearly two minutes. He noted they were not stoned nor drinking or anything, just focused on finding fish. The second time, he was in a not so distant part of Armstrong County hunting Ruffed Grouse alone. He was at the top of a ravine looking down for signs of birds when he spots another dark brown hairy figure sort of crouching down and standing back up to watch him. About 6 foot tall with arms much longer than a human being. He remarks the smell as the smell of rotten eggs or sulfur and can still smell it when he thinks back to that day. When he looked away the creature disappeared, he went on continuing to hunt and never gave much thought to come forward with his first hand accounts.
