it was the most horrible low pitch sound This was a very serious problem for me, it affected every aspect of my life. The relief i felt when i got away from it was immense. I do seriously think that there is a real low pitch noise that is ever present, but I think that various health conditions increases sensitivity to it and / or reverberate / transmit it into the ear. I also believe the brain reproduces the sound if you are away from the source, as it get's kind of stuck in the brain.

What they reported
First noticed: 2010
Pitch: I used tone generators at the time and frequency analyzers, I identified there was a low pitch noise, but my wife couldn't hear it, but I was sensitive too it, I played the tone on my stereo and my wife couldnt' hear it but i could. It was around 20 or 30 hertz.
Loudest: During the night
Where: Indoors
Symptoms: Insomnia, Sense of vibration, Anxiety
Changes with weather: no
