A low hum in SE5 7EW, LS16 7DL

Low humming noise heard more when I am in bed. It varies a little. Sounds very much like a car or other vehicle idling. Other thoughts have been are that it could be a refridgeration system as I live near a 24hr shop. However I have recently been staying away from home for a few weeks and I can still hear it.
