An account in Essonne, France

On December 24, 2015 at 6:10 PM, three people observe for 45 seconds from an apartment on the 10th floor the silent passage of a luminous object with changing colors (green, blue, orange). The object disappears behind the building while passing over the witnesses. Only one testimony is collected. The observation of a multicolored object flying at low altitude on a holiday evening suggests a "lighter than air" object carried by the wind. The Orly Meteociel report indicates a southwest wind, consistent with the object's movement (see the Meteociel report). The multiple and changing colors point to a LED balloon of a model similar to those described here. This type of festive balloon is becoming increasingly widespread. GEIPAN classifies this case "B" probable observation of a festive LED balloon.
