An account in Tarn, France

On November 10, 2015 at 7 p.m., a witness outside their home had their attention drawn by a colored glow in the clear sky. The witness observed for 2 to 3 seconds the straight-line and silent passage of a luminous object with two bright colors (fluorescent green and pastel orange). The object, at the height of the top of a fir tree at the back of the garden, then passed over their house and disappeared from the witness's view. No trail was noticed. Only one testimony was collected. The observation is strange. The possibility of a drone cannot be ruled out but would remain surprising given the time (darkness) and the isolated nature of the few houses. On the other hand, the level of information on the observation is not sufficient given its strangeness and does not allow it to be properly investigated (fleeting nature of the observation (3 seconds), absence of additional information (photo, other testimony)). Consequently, GEIPAN classifies the case in category C: lack of information.
