An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Var, France

In the night of September 4 to 5, 2015, two witnesses observe the silent movements of lights in the night sky of Roquebrune-sur-Argens. Witness 1 makes his observation at 11:40 PM on the 4th, and Witness 2 makes his observation at 12:15 AM. No other testimony will be collected. The observation of milky luminous circles moving in the low clouds, on a weekend night for several dozen minutes, clearly suggests a light show produced by a nightclub or other public entertainment. The tourist area where the observation took place is of course very conducive to this kind of event. The two witnesses observed a similar phenomenon 45 minutes apart, probably from the same source, but possibly aimed in different directions: these laser projectors are clearly visible from more than 10 km. One of the witnesses took a series of photos of the phenomenon, entirely consistent with this explanation. GEIPAN did not conduct research to find the precise source of this light show and classifies this case as B: probable observation of a light show.
