An account in Pyrnes-Atlantiques, France

On August 23, 2015 at 10:25 PM, two witnesses observe in the sky the movement of a luminous phenomenon moving at constant speed. However, the UAP slightly changes direction several times (North, then NW, then finally North), which intrigues the observers. Only one questionnaire is filled out. Of average strangeness, but of sufficient consistency (numerous coherent and precise details lending credibility to the case), this case turns out to be a classic misidentification with a satellite pass. Further research found two satellites that are most likely the source of this misidentification: IGS 5 H2A rocket, whose brightness matches that of the UAP, and whose trajectory is very close, and Iridium 16, an out-of-control satellite whose trajectory and apparent speed match those of the UAP. GEIPAN classifies this case as A, misidentification with a satellite, although doubt remains as to its exact identity.
