An account in Bas-Rhin, France
On June 7, 2014 between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., a person is surprised and intrigued by the observation of luminous phenomena in the night sky. The observation breaks down into 3 phases: -Just after 2:30 a.m.: three objects going from South to North: according to Calsky (see report) several candidate satellites are noted at this time: IGS02, Cosmos 1782 Rocket, and NOS 3-6 rocket. -Two blinking objects from South to Northwest, and from North to South: according to Calsky several satellites may have followed this trajectory. The blinking can be explained by the fact that some satellites rotate on themselves and reflect sunlight irregularly. It could also be airplanes, because their anti-collision lights blink once per second. -A "gigantic" light after 3:15 a.m. observed to the West and disappearing toward the South. Calsky indicates that the ISS passes that day, visible from 3:16 a.m. at its rise to the West (WNW) until 3:22 a.m. when it disappears toward the South (SE). It is however surprising that the witness uses the word "gigantic" for a light only as bright as the planet Venus: the fact that the observation took place in the middle of the night can possibly explain this. GEIPAN classifies this case "B": probable observation of satellites and of the International Space Station (ISS). The middle of the night is favorable to over-interpretation of celestial phenomena, particularly for emotional people, which seems to be the case for this witness.
A witness observes, at an interval of fifteen days and at the same time, the same phenomenon in the night sky: a bright point of light of high intensity passes over his home and then suddenl…
