On October 13, 2013, four pilots (see the estimated positions of the 4 aircraft on the aeronautical questionnaire) observed a powerful luminous phenomenon in eastern France, a phenomenon also observed from the ground (see press article), and by the Chaligny camera (near Nancy) of the BOAM network. This phenomenon, called a bolide, was characterized as an atmospheric reentry of a meteoroid (meteorite fall). GEIPAN classifies this case "A".
