An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Corrèze, France

On July 27, 2012, between 4:20 a.m. and 4:25 a.m., a witness is intrigued by the silent passage in the sky of a milky white light, oval in shape. The observation lasts about 45 seconds before a second orange luminous phenomenon appears, matching its trajectory "perfectly" to the first luminous phenomenon. These lights move at constant separation and speed along a straight-line trajectory. The phenomenon disappears hidden by the landscape. The witness was lucky enough to observe a pass of the ISS (magnitude -3, like Venus) and the Japanese space freighter HTV (magnitude 3) a few hours before its docking to the International Space Station ISS (see Calsky data and the Canadian Space Agency webpage), on the same orbit, a few degrees apart from each other. This case is classified "A" perfectly identified as an observation of a very rare ISS + HTV pass. It should be noted that the witness described the object as big as the Moon, and for an observation lasting 45 seconds: this type of misjudgment is not rare for surprising phenomena.
