An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France

On March 1, 2012, GEIPAN received by email a terrestrial questionnaire (QT) from a witness to an observation of several lights on the evening of Thursday, August 25, 2011, a little over 5 months after the facts. These various lights would form only a single fixed luminous point before disappearing. Of average strangeness and good consistency, this observation case leaves two hypotheses both possible, but unlikely: model aircraft and Thai lanterns. (see investigation report). An on-site investigation could possibly find other witnesses to the phenomenon. This case is provisionally classified C pending other simultaneous testimonies.
