A farmer observes, at a considerable distance, the passage of an object the size of a semi-trailer with many lights. No noise is heard during the observation. The witness was not wearing his glasses at the time of the observation. Nevertheless, his first impression makes him think of a combine harvester driving with its work lights on (very likely in an area of agricultural fields). His eyesight without glasses did not allow him to see the machine in detail, which was traveling on the road. The estimated speed of 80 km/h is obviously too high for a combine harvester, but not abnormal for a large oversized convoy transporting this type of machine. The absence of noise is explainable by the wind direction (see weather situation) which carried the noise in the opposite direction from the witness. This case is classified as B, as the very likely observation of a ground vehicle of large dimensions traveling on the road.
