An account in Pyr�n�es-Orientales, France

On August 11, 2009, between 4:45 a.m. and 5:20 a.m., two people observe above the sea a white luminous point whose outline is greenish in color. No noise is heard during the movements at variable speed and the departure at high speed of the object toward the open sea. The witnesses note that two pleasure boats were in the vicinity close to the movements of the phenomenon. The observation at Canet-en-Roussillon took place during an advertising campaign carried out by the agency Buzzman for the SyFy channel at night during the night of August 10 to 11, 2009, between Canet and Argelès (see the investigation report). The theme "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and the special effects used for this campaign match the unusual observation of the 2 witnesses. The very early hour of this animation (4:45 a.m.) corresponds to the end of the animation that began in the evening in the neighboring town of Argelès. This case is perfectly explained and therefore classified as "A" as a luminous animation for an advertising campaign.
