An account in Doubs, France

A person reports in October 2010 an observation made on April 1, 2009. At 6:45 a.m., a witness, from an open window, observes in a gap in the cloudy and dark sky, the passage from east to west, at three-second intervals, of three white, circular phenomena identical in size, speed, and trajectory. A dark red shape then appears, leading the witness to think he is seeing fire. The sky then brightens very quickly. No particular noise was heard during the continuous observation of about twenty seconds. Only one testimony will be collected. The strangeness of this case is difficult to assess given the particular description of the observed phenomenon. Its consistency remains weak in the absence of cross-checks and independent testimonies. Nevertheless, the observation area being located in a very busy military air corridor, the hypothesis of military aircraft is probable, but certain elements remain difficult to explain (total absence of noise, fine red line behind the phenomenon). Unfortunately, the lack of data available after 3 years concerning possible activity does not allow concluding this track with certainty. This case is classified C for lack of independent testimonies and cross-checks.
