An account in Indre-et-Loire, France

On August 13, 2007 at around 11:30 PM, a family was watching the stars from their garden. They spotted a luminous phenomenon in the sky that intrigued them: coming from the west, a bright white ball grew larger as it came toward them. Gradually changing trajectory to head toward the North Star, the sphere shrank before disappearing completely. A star chart taken at the indicated times and locations shows that these people witnessed the passage of the International Space Station.
