On September 27, 1993, the owner of a house noticed in his yard a regular circle about 8 meters in diameter, at the edge of which the grass was laid down regularly outward over a width of 30 cm. The center of the circle was occupied by an automatic sprinkler nozzle. It should be noted that a violent storm had flooded the yard in the preceding days, and that electrical disturbances occurred during that storm, specifically on the fuse that powers the automatic sprinkler. A quick analysis by SEPRA led to favoring the hypothesis of the untimely opening of the sprinkler nozzle, which caused watering without pressure for a certain time, creating the observed phenomenon.
