Screaming or howling

4/24/10 - Haunted Nightmares Dream Non-dream Lucid I only remember bits and pieces. I was going on a trip somewhere with my friend <PERSON>, but something about the mood was ominous. Then I was in my room and felt a dark presence. I got up and walked toward my desk when all of a sudden I froze. I was forced to turn around and look at the screen of a TV that was not there before. The screen was all staticy and I had a terrible feeling in my stomach. An awful, grinning face appeared through the static. "Remember me?" It rasped. I was plunged into a terrible feeling of fear no words could describe. This was the same ghost that had haunted my nightmares as a child. I tried to scream but made no sound. Then I found myself in my bathroom, just sitting on the toilet seat and thinking about my nightmare. I wondered if I would really woken up, and looked around carefully for dream signs. Then I felt it again. That dark presence. I could not see it but I knew it was coming for me. I tried to wake up by jerking myself and thinking about being in bed. I sat up in bed. It was difficult - at first I thought it might be sleep paralysis. Then I remembered that some people feel a dark presence while in SP. I felt something behind me, in the hall. I was unwillingly turned around by some force, and watched as an awful pink creature floated through the doorway. That was it. I forced myself awake, for real this time.

I had a false awakening. I do not remember why, or how I had it, it seemed to dawn upon me out of nowhere that this is a dream. I was very excited, but then, out of experience, calmed down.
