An orange orb

I am posting this as one dream because it all happened during one REM cycle. My family and I, without my brother, are going on a trip through Arab territory through the desert. We need some sort of protection so I try to take advantage of my kung fu skills (I do kung fu IRL) and find a weapon but all I can find are these weird plastic weapons. They have metal blades but plastic handles. There is what looks like a katana but the blade is actually really short on closer inspection and the handle is really long. Then there is another really long handle with a right angle blade on it. Both of the blades are incredibly loose so they are generally useless (not to mention that nobody actually knows how to fight with an awkward katana or an L). After that my dad tries to put on a turban but I tear it off his head saying he looked ridiculous and would get us killed. The turban was a light purple, made of a towel with a very smooth obviously not-turban material. After this I randomly became lucid and was with my friends K, A and some others under what seemed to be some sort of overpass unlike any I had ever seen before. It was almost completely enclosed, made of really big cobbled stones with giant square pillars and water to the left of the road from where we are standing in a cul-de-sac. There are steps leading into the water between the pillars. I summon a silver Ferrari California and get in with one of my friends, I think it was A. When I get in, the parking brake does not work, i.e. when it is in park it moves forward unless I press the brake. I also noticed the shifter, it was backlit with orange light and looked like a manual because it had a bunch of gears, yet it was a straight line so it had to be automatic. I was not doing any shifting anyways so it did not make a difference. I do a lap under the overpass, drifting and stuff. There is a giant truck, I am not sure if it was on the way forward or the way back which I swerve to the left of the pillar and over the steps to avoid. Lots of drifting going on here. After that, I do not remember how I got there but I was on the side of the highway and I realized I should try to stabilize the LD. So I started doing palpitations and peeking and everything starts coming into focus. My hands are really weird looking, they are red and swollen and my fingernails are really small and keep changing size. I am looking at the large evergreen and pine trees off the highway where I am and they start to come into focus as I continue to "peek". There is not any shoulder on the highway and there is just a hill leading down to the forest where I am standing. The sky is blue in the background. After that the dream slips away. I prepare for a DEILD. I see a hypnagognic image which is a square pumpkin face and focus and relax my body to go into another dream. I feel the awesome sensation of falling into a dream which in this case felt like I was falling sideways for a couple hundred feet at high speed. I end up in my bed and RC but it was not a dream I think it was because I was worried I would forget everything because my recall has been crap lately so I was not too upset.
