Screaming or howling

This is the beginning of the "re-start" of my dream journal that I started earlier this summer. Just a brief background here, the "sleeping man" (The name was not revealed to me until he had appeared several times) is a character that I run into every once in a while in dreams, and after encountering him in this dream I decided to start my dream journal again. sat jun 25: The dream began as my mother and I entered a rustic hotel which I believe was also some kind of hospital. We approached the front desk and the owner warned me that a woman at the end of the hall was nearly dead and I should not disturb her. We walked down the hall toward our room and as we walked we heard screaming at the end of the hall. I entered the room and suddenly I panicked because the blankets looked very itchy (silly thing to be frightened over, I know). In this state of fear, the scene suddenly changed to a scene that I visited several other times during the night: the lights grew dim and any homely pleasantness that the hotel offered me was gone. Suddenly the door slammed open and standing in the doorway was the woman from the end of the hall. At this point I woke up briefly. At this point I would like to offer something of an analysis on this portion of the dream. I had this dream after a visit to my great grandmother who at the time was on her deathbed (she has since passed away, may she rest in peace). The dream may have been a kind of a representation of any fear or sadness that I had for the eminent loss of my great grandmother. After a while of thinking, I realized the itchy blankets thing was sort of a forgotten memory about my great grandmother's house where she had many itchy woolen blankets. The next dream I had continued for the rest of the night and reoccured several times. It starts as I am sitting in a bathtub in a modernly furnished bathroom. It was here that I first encountered "the sleeping man". In this first iteration of the dream, as I sit in the tub, a sudden wave of panic sweeps over me as I notice a dark figure standing behind me in the mirror. The bathroom changes to a darker version of the same bathroom. I try to look back at him, but when I do, he is gone. From this point the dream dissolves. From the next point I can remember, I am back in the tub in the modernly furnished room. As I look in the mirror instead of something terrifying, I see various acquaintances of mine. I look over at them and the room becomes a train (I remember this train from a dream that I had years ago). The train drops us off in a vast field. Our train had developed a human face of a child and here we meet a whole family of trains. I do not remember much else, but everyone spoke in sound effects which was weird. And so ended the pleasant portion of this dream. After this I returned to the bathtub scene. This time, in the mirror I saw a woman's face and it spoke to me. It said, "the sleeping man is real <PERSON>, he is right behind you." The room changed once again to the dark room. The face in the mirror was gone and I could now see the 'sleeping man' behind me. I tried to look back at him, but my head would just snap back to a forward position. I finally turned to look at his legs and I spat at him. I suddenly became blind and I felt a pressure on my face. The sleeping man spat on my face and began pushing me under the water. I woke up.
