Paralysis

12.07.2010Run Back to Sleep (DEILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I was staying in my girlfriend's house, having partied hard the night before. I felt myself waking up and decided to prevent it. I thought, "No way I am letting myself wake up here, think of the hangover!" So I blocked out the feeling of my real body (which had passed out in a strange position anyway) and started running. At first I was just running along a nondescript flat surface, with very little feeling in my arms and legs. But after a few metres, the integration stepped up a notch. I was physically pumping my arms and legs, sprinting with full control of my body. As I looked around, I saw I was in a random street, not unlike the area I was staying in. I felt my real eyes moving to look around. But intstead of the back of my eyelids, I was seeing a non-existent street. I kept running until I was sure there was no chance of me waking up again. It was strange to me that I was able to "run" back to sleep, run away from waking up. And it felt like real running. The brain was obviously telling the body to run like normal- but with sleep paralysis, a virtual body was substituted, although it felt no less real.

What stood out: paralysis

I have been both sick as a dog, and out of town. Dreams have been so crazy. At one point, I was nightmaring lucidly about the Saw movies, which I do not even watch (Saw 1-3, then gave up.),

So I was in this forest. It was all gray and gloomy looking. In a clearing in the forest were a bunch of stone huts. They were tall enough to walk in but you would have had to slouch to fit.
