I had a mini nightmare last night. I do not have nightmares very often. And when I do they are often sort of similar. In the dream I had gone outside from what was supposed to be my house. I heard my cat meowing. It sounded like she was in distress. The sound came from the roof. I looked up-- and suddenly this huge chimpanzee leans over the edge of the roof and looks right at me. I was so startled and freaked out that I tried to scream, but all I could do is breathe heavy. I also wanted to run, but I was frozen in place. The terror lasted about 15-20 seconds before I woke up. I have had other dreams very similar to this. Often it is a bigfoot that comes out of the woods and stares at me. I am always frozen with terror and trying to scream but all I can manage to do is just breathe hard.
