An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Tarn-et-Garonne, France

On Thursday, November 17, 2016, around 10 p.m., two people are intrigued by the presence in the cloudy sky of a green trail. One of the witnesses takes several photographs. Two testimonies are collected. The green trail in the sky results from laser spots coming from the Toulouse event produced by international artist Yvette Mattern. This giant laser show installed on the roof of the Quai des Savoirs, on the allées Jules-Guesde, lit up from November 18 to 20, 2016, but the tests started well before. The site actu.cotetoulouse reports surprised witnesses on the evening of November 16 with descriptions and geographic distances from the event similar to those of the witness of November 17. It was verified with the organizer that the tests were also present as early as November 15. This laser was also observed by a witness who testified to GEIPAN (case LAPEYROUSE-FOSSAT (31) 15.11.2016). The present testimony and the attached photos show an identical aspect of the phenomenon, notably with this green luminous line. The azimuth of the phenomenon in the sky (134°) indicated by the witnesses is compatible with a laser shot from the Quai des Savoirs in Toulouse (located 25 km at 155°), given the imprecision of a smartphone compass and the fact that the laser impact on the clouds can be more than 10 km from the firing location. Consequently, GEIPAN classifies the case as A: laser.
