On October 7, 2015 at around 8:20 PM, a resident of EVRON (53) spotted through his window a light with blue reflections in the sky. He saw the UAP again 5 minutes later, as he was going to bed. He then called his son, and both of them observed the UAP for 2 to 3 minutes. He then called his brother, who lives in a hamlet in the neighboring town of SAINTE-GEMMES-LE-ROBERT (53), to report the sighting, and got his camcorder to film the UAP. At the end of this first observation, the witness left his home with his son at around 9:10 PM and arrived at his brother's place at around 9:15 PM. The latter was waiting for him with a neighbor. Getting out of his car, the main witness saw the UAP again. The four people saw a new UAP above a local hill. The brother and the neighbor went back inside. The main witness and his son then saw 5 new luminous phenomena above the hill. The witness tried to film them, but his camcorder refused to work. The observation ended at 9:25 PM. The witness reported his sighting to the gendarmerie the next day. On October 9 at around 6:00 AM, he saw two new UAPs in the sky, which he filmed. These videos were recorded using a Sony DSR PD150 camcorder. The witness provided two videos of the observations: the first, which lasts 1 minute 51 seconds, is a summary of the October 7 observation, and was published on YouTube on October 10. The second, which lasts 12 minutes 9 seconds, shows all of the witness's footage taken on the evening of October 7 and the morning of October 9. Of average strangeness, but of sufficient consistency (see the investigation report), this case turns out to be a definite misidentification with various astronomical objects: Arcturus, Vega, Capella, Aldebaran, Sirius, Jupiter, and Regulus. The quality of the videos taken by the witness makes it possible to clearly locate the various UAPs relative to landmarks on the ground, and the zooms show various dimmer stars nearby. With these elements, a check on Stellarium makes it possible to identify each of the UAPs with certainty. This case is classified as A, definite misidentification with the following astronomical objects: Arcturus, Vega, Capella, Aldebaran, Sirius, Jupiter, and Regulus.
