On July 3, 2015 at around 1:10 a.m., a witness observes, in the pitch-black night, four "stars" aligned vertically and tilted to the right, evenly spaced. Then the group breaks apart and the points move differently in pairs. The lights eventually go out. A check of satellite passes on the Calsky site (see attached record) indicates to us at that precise moment the passage of two groups of two notable satellites: - the satellite pair USA 62/NOSS 2-1C and USA 62/NOSS 2-1B - the satellite ADEOS 2 H2A Rocket and the "debris" Yaogan 1 LM Rocket, (the brightest of the four) which seem to "sail" together but are in fact at very different altitudes. The rare spectacle the witness describes is absolutely consistent with the model produced by Calsky based on the orbital parameters published by NORAD (USA). Due to the shutdown of public lighting, the witness would have particularly noticed this fairly exceptional coordinated pass; it is even noted that another pair of satellites was visible on a nearby trajectory a few minutes before: Cosmos 1689 Rocket and Landsat 5. This time of year is very favorable for observing a maximum number of satellites on axes close to South-North or North-South. GEIPAN classifies this case as A: observation of satellites.
