Given the objective elements collected (see the investigation report), namely: - Golden color, then yellow-orange or orange-red identical to that of lanterns, - Point-like shape of the UAPs comparable to that of lanterns located at high altitude, - Behavior identical to that of objects subjected to zero or light wind, - Short observation duration (+/- 1 minute) compatible with the lifespan of lanterns, - Date: a Friday evening, compatible with times favorable for organizing lantern launches on the occasion of celebrations, - Number compatible with that of lanterns launched in quantity, GEIPAN classifies this case as "B" — very likely observation of Thai lanterns.
