An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Gironde, France

The observation around 11 p.m. of a group of orange balls, lasting a few minutes, on a Saturday evening suggests a release of Thai lanterns following a party. Since the witness was observing toward the West, facing the light wind, the objects appeared motionless. The cornucopia shape could have been perceived due to a perspective effect of the lanterns, which were in fact almost aligned with the wind direction. Météociel indicates in Bordeaux a light westerly wind of around 10 km/h: Météo. No other testimony was collected. This case is classified "B" probable observation of Thai lanterns.
