An account in Nord, France

On February 22, 2014 at around 7:45 PM, a resident of MARQUETTE-LEZ-LILLE (59) returns home after having gone grocery shopping. As she parks in front of her home, she spots in the sky a luminous point moving toward the left. After an observation phase of about two minutes, the UAP disappears from the witness's field of vision, who then heads toward her garden. She then sees the UAP again, and notes the presence of a second UAP moving in the opposite direction. The two UAPs cross paths. While the first continues to move away, the second stops and remains fixed in the sky until clouds arrive and cover the sky, between 10 minutes and one hour after the start of the observation. No other testimony will be collected. Of average strangeness, but of sufficient consistency (numerous coherent and precise details lending credibility to the case), this case turns out to be a misidentification of a perfectly known astronomical object, the International Space Station (ISS), crossing during its trajectory a particularly remarkable celestial body, the star Sirius. The ISS was visible at a time very close to that given by the witness, on a trajectory perfectly consistent with that of the UAP. The close approach during its trajectory with the star Sirius could have given the illusion, during a short period of time, of a reverse movement of that star. It is not the witness's visual perception that is at fault, but the interpretation the witness makes of her observation through her feelings (fatigue, astonishment, observation in several phases). This case is classified as A, misidentification of the ISS crossing during its trajectory the star Sirius.
