An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Pyrnes-Orientales, France

On Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10 p.m., while taking photographs, the witnesses are intrigued by the presence of a sphere to the left of the Moon. The witness takes a photo in which he later notices a second sphere. In the witness's photo, the Moon is clearly visible: a small white "gibbous" disk (see Stellarium chart). The two large bright disks on the left are photographic artifacts, sometimes called "orbs," created by dust or water droplets very close to the lens, and lit by the flash. This therefore does not explain the second large bright ball observed with his own eyes by the witness to the left of the Moon: lunar halo? Stadium floodlight (see Google photo)? Other phenomenon? Due to this doubt, and the lack of evidence provided by the photo, GEIPAN classifies this case "C" for lack of information.
