On August 31, 2013 between 10:40 PM and 11:00 PM, an amateur astronomer, observing the sky with two friends from CHALMAZEL (42), noticed flashes of white light in the constellation of Pegasus. Two other people witnessed the UAP, but could not be interviewed. Of low strangeness and medium consistency (several witnesses, but only one testimony), this case turns out to be a probable misidentification with a very high altitude satellite in rapid rotation (see investigation notes). Furthermore, at least 7 very high altitude satellites are present in the observation sector, within the time interval given by the witness. It is not the witness's visual perception that is in question, but the interpretation the witness makes of their observation through their feelings (astonishment, observation of only 4 short-duration flashes). This case is classified as B, probable misidentification with a very high altitude satellite in rapid rotation.
