An open record of things people cannot explain

An account in Haute-Garonne, France

On September 2, 2012 at 4 a.m., several people observe in the cloudy sky a circular shape, with an estimated diameter between 50 and 100 m, moving silently at low altitude and containing about fifteen fixed lights. The object rotates on itself. The lights go out suddenly and the shape disappears. Only one testimony is collected. This observation report of circular lights rotating (see witness drawing) clearly evokes nightclub light displays. A nightclub in Cazères (31) or Martres (31) often uses this kind of device. What surprised the witness is the absence of an upward beam, but this is only visible in humid weather: the weather that day (at Toulouse-Blagnac) shows relatively dry air (50% humidity) and a total cloud ceiling (8/8), which gives the ideal conditions for the best effect of this type of projector. The end of the observation, Sunday around 4:20 a.m., matches well with the closing time of nightclubs. GEIPAN classifies this case "B" probable observation of a Skyrose-type light display.
