An account in Loir-et-Cher, France

On May 8, 2008 at 4:30 a.m., two people observe in the sky the passage from West to East of a very bright white oval ball. That day, one could observe the ISS with a rise (at azimuth 225) at 4:27 a.m. in the SW and a set at azimuth 70 (East) at 4:37 a.m. (source Winstars). The observation of a bright point lasting about 2 minutes from West to East at 4:30 a.m. matches well the passage of the ISS at its apogee and very bright since the addition of extra solar panels (magnitude -4).
