Taking off impossibly fast

1/24/2011 LD #40 - "Cartoon World" This was a frustrating low level LD. My dream started out where I was home with my wife. I had not gone to work and realized I had not called in and was going to be in trouble. I got up because I thought there might be water leaking into the basement (this happens in RL) and went down into my basement. As I suspected there was a large puddle of water on the floor. I went down the stairs and kneeled down next to the puddle. There was sawdust in the water and I realized my wife had put it there in an attempt to soak up the water. I was annoyed because now I would have to cleanup wet sawdust. Then I remembered that 'water doing damage' was a dream sign for me. I counted the fingers on my left hand and counted 5, but my fingers were all blurry. I looked away and recounted and I had 8 fingers. I am lucid. I walk back up the stairs and remembered what to do if I became lucid. I stopped and told myself to remain calm, I tried not to think of myself back in bed. I started walking down a long hallway with gold colored wall paper. As I walked I rubbed my hands together and shouted "increase clarity". Things became a bit clearer, but not much. The hallway turned to the right several times (I realized I was walking in a square.) Then I found my front door and walked out. I found myself walking out into the driveway of <PERSON> house (from my old neighborhood). Outside looked like a computerized cartoon. The colors were vivid, but it looked artificial. I was in a cartoon version of my old neighborhood. I walked across the street and there was a cartoon guy who I know was a pizza maker. He looked like a stereotypical Italian pizza guy from old cartoons (i.e. thick black mustache and hair, wearing a white apron stained with pizza sauce, a bit on the fat side, etc.) I decided to fly. I jumped into the air and flew about 100 ft up. I looked around and could see the ocean a few miles away. Out in the bay a whole bunch of long thin tornados (maybe 50+) were coming my way. I flew up again, and decided to fly to the moon. I began to move at incredible speed, but as I broke through the clouds my dream world shifted against my will. I found myself back in the cartoon world. I was in a supermarket. I was sitting in an inner tube and I felt like I was drifting down a "lazy river" at a water park; however I was floating down the supermarket isle. I am getting frustrated with this dream but make no attempt to seize complete control. I decided to try for sex. I saw a picture of a cartoon woman on the wall (part of an advertisement...she is holding a loaf of bread in her hand). I pulled the picture off the wall and tried to turn it into a real woman, but could not. I yelled out "increase clarity!", but nothing happened. I saw cartoon woman stocking some shelves and as I drifted by her I pulled her onto my lap. I attempted to remove her clothes but could not find any buttons or zippers. At this point I realized I do not have full control of this dream and it is very annoying, so I decide to just wake up. I close my eyes and focus on the fact that I am back in my bed. I wake up.
